Well I have done it, I have started back at work after nearly five months. Wow it was scary. I worked four hours this morning and could not wait to get home, I was so relived when twelve o'clock came I almost ran out but I did it. I know that now I have got the first day out of the way it will only get easier. I havent been able to write much on my blog just lately because I was so worried about today and have been trying to push it to the back of my mind, by writing about it would have meant that it was really happening and I couldnt cope with that. Yes I know that trying to ignore it is not good for you and holding it in makes everything worse but just for a while I went back to old habits. That being said I did not let it stop me from getting up and going, I may have shed a few tears whilst I was there and was a little bit quieter than normal but I did it. Wow!!!!!
Apart from being back at work it has been an interesting week, especially Saturday. I managed to cycle all the way from Hessle to Sutton Park, then took Bailey for a walk around the industrial estate, after that I cycled to Holderness Road for a cuppa with my cousin and her family then cycled all the way home back to Hessle. My taxi driver this morning said that it was about a twenty mile round trip, not bad considering I have hardly been on my bike since falling ill.
I have enen started knitting again. I know I havent given it up whilst I was down but I have to admit that I was struggling and finding it really hard to concentrate. Over the weekend I have finished Melvins cardigan, (he is going to look so cute, I just hope Rex isnt jealous), and have managed to make two sets of lacy booties, one for my daughter in laws sister and another set for my cousins future granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed doing them.
I have to admit that although I havent been keeping my blog so up to date this week but I have been texting my friend and she has been an absolute star so I will say thank you to her here and now, I will not mention her name but she knows who she is. She has made me laugh so many times over the last few days and that was just what I needed, a pure tonic.
Anyway thats enough for today as my brain is a bit numb at the moment, speak soon x
